From January to November 2008, China's printing industry achieved a total industrial output value of 210,066,160,000 yuan, an increase of 18.91% over the same period last year; the main business income of 199,535,488,000 yuan, an increase of 18.75% over the same period last year; Total accumulated profits of 13,964,289,000 yuan, an increase of 12.96% over the same period last year.

From January to February 2009, China's printing industry realized a total industrial output value of RMB 34,806,403,000, an increase of 11.20% over the same period of the previous year. The income from principal operations was RMB 32,026,704,000, up by 2.7% over the same period of last year. Total accumulated profits of 1,882,483,000 yuan, down 4.49% over the same period last year. According to the "Eleventh Five-Year" plan, to the "Eleventh Five-Year" period, the Chinese printing industry industrial output is expected to reach 440 billion yuan, accounting for about 2.5% of gross national product; printing production and processing capacity will enter the forefront of the world.
